Microblading is a form of permanent tattoo that lasts anywhere between 1-3 years, depending on the individual’s skin type and skincare routines. The microblading artist uses a manual hand tool to add individual hair-like strokes with microblading ink into the skin to create natural-looking eyebrow design.
Does Microblading hurt? It is a common question I, as a microblading artist, get asked. The answer is different for different individuals. Nonetheless, clients were surprised by how little they felt during the microblading process. Most clients found no-to minimal discomfort. During the procedure, a topical numbing cream is used to numb the skin and make sure that clients are as comfortable as possible during the whole process.
After completion of medical history, necessary paperwork, and the initial consultation, the artist will use professional eyebrow measuring tools to pre-draw the eyebrows that best fit the client’s unique facial features, while keeping the symmetry and aesthetics in mind. Only after the client’s approval of the size and shape, the artist will apply topical numbing cream over the brows. While waiting for the numbing to take full effect, the artist and the client will together select the perfect eyebrow color. Since microblading is a two-session process, we always recommend going a little more conservative during the first session. It is always easier to add than subtract. Once the color has been select, and the skin has numbed, the artist will start microblading. The microblading process takes about 20 minutes. Once completed, the new brows are revealed to the client, and the aftercare instructions are discussed.
Depending on client skin type and skincare routine, microblading can last anywhere from 1-3 years. Individuals with oily skin tend to fade faster and might need touch-ups every 6-12 months, while individuals with dryer skin might need touch-ups every 12-18 months. Your eyebrows might not fully fade before your touch-ups, but they will look lighter. Daily use of face exfoliate, and routined professional facial peels can affect the longevity of the micro-bladed eyebrows.

Yes, it can!
We don’t recommend microblading to pregnant or nursing women. Please wait when you are finished nursing for the safety of your and your child’s health. Microblading is not worth any risk-taking!

The ink will lighten through time. Eventually, it will fade away and leave a slight pink shadow behind that will finally disappear. The fading process can take anywhere from 1-3 years. However, there are no guarantees since our skins are all different and react differently during the fading process. Some might fade sooner and some might fade longer.
Depending on how the previous tattoo or permanent makeup has faded. Best cover-up would be 60% + faded. We will have to utilize a combo or shading technique to cover up the tattoo.
In the first seven days, you’ll need to avoid getting them wet, working out, or wearing brow makeup. It takes nearly 30 days for the microblading to completely heal, in which time you may experience mild scabbing.
